[My players are exploring a dragon’s lair and have found its hoard]
ME: On top of the pile of coins you find a letter. It is addressed to the dragon Niamenthe, lamenting how much she is missed and loved. It is signed by the dragon Shikata, with a promise that she (Shikata) will be waiting for Niamenthe’s return
My players: Damn. We gotta leave before the dragon gets back
[later they find a portal in the dragon lair and emerge in an observatory. They track down the owner of the building to ask about the portal]
NPC owner: Hi! My name’s Carter. Shye Carter.
